Amid forty acres sprawling over a hilltop above the Gartempe valley, Le Repaire is a classic French farm in a courtyard setting. The 19th Century stone and tiled roof barn has been sympathetically converted to provide three large holiday cottages ('gîtes'), Hirondelle, Martinet and Gartempe.

By Car....
Calais to Le Repaire is 420 miles by road. Using the autoroutes and the 'Periferique' around Paris the journey usually takes around six hours by car. If you are traveling from the west of Britain then the Portsmouth ferry makes most sense - and can reduce the time on the road in France. The journey from Le Havre or Caens can be up to two hours shorter than that from Calais. Wherever you are crossing the channel, we can give you the best route for your onward journey by road to Le Repaire.

You can also reach Bellac by rail from Paris or Lille (Eurostar) via either Poitiers or Limoges - or even bring your car with you on the train to either Poitiers or Angouleme
By Air...
Flying is also an option - there are Air France flights to Limoges from Paris' Orly airport, Ryanair fly from London's Stanstead Airport to both Limoges (about 30 minutes away) and Poitiers (about a 55 minute drive to Le Repaire), and Flybe fly to Limoges from Southampton and Liverpool. British Airways also operates flights from Gatwick to Bordeaux (about a 2 1/2 hour drive to Le Repaire).
